Katie Thorpe

Katie graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with her BA in Political Science. After exploring a law career, she found her true passion for mental health and well being. She completed the Post Baccalaureate program in Psychology and Social Behavior at UCI, and is currently applying to get her Masters in Social Work. She hopes to become a psychiatric social worker and work in community mental health. When she's not working, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband. 

Klaudia Kosiak

Klaudia is currently a graduate student in the Psychology and Social Behavior Program at UCI.  She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Behavior Neuroscience from Seton Hall University.  Her research interests include trauma and resilience. She wants to apply this knowledge to create interventions promoting resilience. On her free time she enjoys running, painting, and photography.

George Mosqueda

George graduated from the University of California, Merced and obtained his B.A. in Psychology. During the same time, George was also serving in the California Army National Guard. Moreover, George is a combat veteran because of his deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In Fall 2017, George is currently Post-Baccalaureate student in Psychology and Social Behavior at UCI. George’s primary research interest is understanding the development, prevention, and treatment of combat-related posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in veterans.

Francisco Hernandez

Francisco Hernandez graduated from UCI in 2016 with a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior. He is currently involved with the domestic violence team at UCI and working as a direct interventionist at Behavioral Support Partnership. His research interests include anger and aggression, anxiety, personality disorders, and cultural competence. He wants to apply these research interests to Latino/Hispanic populations. With his free time he enjoys exercising, concerts, and cooking.

Isaiah Contreras

Isaiah is an undergraduate student here at UCI. He is double majoring in Psychology & Social Behavior, as well as Criminology, Law, & Society. He aims to graduate from a PhD program in Clinical Psychology and become a licensed clinician. Eventually, he hopes to work within law enforcement, contributing clinical expertise to the field. His research interests include anger, violence, addiction, and trauma. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking, fishing, and spending time with his nephew.

Katie Hardin

Katie graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Psychology and minor in Criminality and Forensics. She is currently a doctoral student in the Psychological Science department at UCI. Her research interests include anger, aggression, and violence including both assessment and intervention techniques. After her doctorate, Katie would like to apply her research, and work with a governmental intelligence agency in order to reduce violence. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, performing arts, and spending time with loved ones.
